This year marks a special milestone for us: the Qu-Chi Hayfever Band® - The Acupressure Armband is celebrating its 17th birthday, having first launched in 2008! To mark this momentous occasion, we decided to do something truly special, kicking off an exciting new social media marketing campaign to spread the word.

Our New Marketing Idea - Same Line, Different Scene

As part of our 17th birthday celebrations, we embarked on an exciting new social media marketing campaign. What makes it even more special? Our founder and inventor of the world famous hay fever acupressure band, Andrew, is personally crafting and managing these fun videos across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube Shorts, all under the handle @bandforthat.

Our creative concept is simple yet brilliant: "the line stays the same but the situation changes." This allows us to showcase the versatile appeal the Qu-Chi band holds, in a humorous and memorable way, regardless of the scenario.

Imagine Sherlock Holmes and Watson in the midst of solving a mystery, or Harry Potter navigating the magical world – of course, these are just our light-hearted parodies featuring 'Harry Potter-esque' characters, not the real deal! – all while dealing with unexpected hay fever symptoms. In each video, a consistent line or phrase is delivered, but the comedic or dramatic situation around it is entirely different, highlighting that hay fever can present challenges anywhere, and the Qu-Chi band is there as a potential companion. We've seen some fantastic engagement with these light-hearted yet relatable scenarios.

What is the Qu-Chi Hay Fever Band?

The Original Qu-Chi (pronounced Q-chee) hayfever band® is an innovative acupressure arm band designed to encourage your body's natural balance, potentially offering a new perspective on managing hay fever and allergic rhinitis symptoms. Developed by Acupuncturist Andrew Broch, this band works by applying gentle pressure to the Large Intestine 11 (LI-11) acupoint on the elbow, known in Chinese as Quchi.
